To add a graphic, you must go to Objects> Add a Graphic Object.
A dialog box will appear that dsks where you want to get this file. You can get an image from the Disk file, a Video, or Twain Scanner image. If you have a digital camera actively hooked up to your computer, you may access this peripheral for an image. |

| The Disk file option is the one that is most often used. This option will allow you to browse your computer for any image that has been saved on your hard drive or a "USB portable drive". |
| When you click Disk file and OK, usually the browse window will take you to the HyperStudio Media Library, but you can use the drop menu or click on the Up-a-Level folder search anywhere on your computer for a file. The Up-Folder is highlighted in the image below. |

| When you select Disk File and click ok, the window will open up to the last place you selected a file from. Usually, the HyperStudio Media Library will open up to select a file from, but if you have selected a file from another area, such as My Documents/Images, that folder will open up. You can browse to anywhere on your computer or even a portable USB flash or jump drive in order to select a specific image. |
You can select the arrow on the drop-down box to browse for the HyperStudio Media Library.

Procedure:
Go to LOCAL DISK C.
Find Program Files
Look for the HyperStudio folder
Finally, look for the Media Library Folder.
The Media Library folder contains various folder for animations, background images, sounds, videos, and more. |

Resize Selected Image |
| After you have found where you want to get your file from, check the Show Preview Box so you can see the image your are browsing for. Click OK when you have found the image you want. |

| When you have selected the desired image, click OPEN. You will need to select the image. If you need to resize the image or rotate the angle of the image you must do so before you select it to insert. |

| You can crop the image using the rectangle tool. This will select the image WITH the background color within the rectangle. You can click on the rectangle tool and crop the image area or double-click on the rectangle tool and it will automatically select an area around the image. |

You can crop the image using the lasso tool. This will just select the image with no background color. To select the image only with no background, use the lasso tool manually or by double-clicking on the lasso tool.
When you click on the lasso tool, you may select the image by manually drawing around the image OR just double-click on the lasso tool and it will select the image only with no border color around the image. |

You must scale or rotate the image before you select it. You can scale the image smaller or larger. This image was scaled down to 50% of the original image size.
You can always hit the UNDO button if you want to try another image size. It will take you back to the original size so you can select a different percentage size. |

Click the Scale and Rotate button.A box
will appear that allows you to select how much you want to rotate the angle of an image at a certain percent Clockwise or Counterclockwise.
This image will be rotated at a 25% clockwise angle. |

You can always undo the rotation and
try again before you select the image and
insert it. |

| Completed editing your image (scale/rotate and/or re-size) if needed. |
| Click OK to insert the image.You must first click somewhere on the card to insert the image before you go back and select the arrow tool so you can move the image on the card. |
| you will see the lasso tool beside the image if you used it to select the image after you insert the image on the card. You will need to re-select the arrow tool to edit or move the image further. There will be a red pulsing border round the image to let you know you have selected the image to move the image around on the card to a different location. |
| After you have inserted the image, you can double-click on the image to bring up the Graphic Appearance box. You can add a frame color around the graphic, name the graphic, or adjust the opacity. The opacity is where you can make the graphic less solid or more see through. |
