The next card can be have a favorite personal or school activity.

You may have another card with text hyperlinked to a URL. You can also hyperlink text on a card. This can lead to favorite online Web sites or links to show off student creations online.
To Hyperlink Text

Before you hyperlink any text it is important to make any changes needed to the text in style or color. Text that is hyperlinked should be underlined and changed to a color that indicates that the user can click on this text to go to a specific URL. Because you will be instantly taken to the URL added to that text, it is best to make any changes in color or style (underline) before hyperlinking the text to the URL.

Follow these steps to hyperlink your text:
1. Change text style & color
First go to the Format menu to change specific text within a text object (box). To change the text style to underlined go to Format>Style>Underline. If a particular text style is already checked, you may have to go back to Format>Style and select the style you want again. To change the color go to Format>Set text color. Select the color you would like to change the text to. Red or blue is usually indicates a hyperlink to the Internet.

Once you have gotten your text style changed to underlined and the text color to indicate a hyperlink, you are ready to hyperlink your text. You can hyperlink a word, phrase, or an actual URL. You can type in a word that tells what the URL is for such as Famous Mississippians or My Favorite Web site. There may be a stack that was created on a certain topic that the student wants to "link" to or a URL to a Web site that displays student work.

2. Hyperlink to a word or phrase
First, highlight that text or phrase you want to hyperlink.
Go to Objects>Hypertext links... The Hypertext links dialog box will appear.

Notice the text you highlighted is in the bottom space. (This space is where you can type in what you would like to hyperlink if needed--anytime this specific phrase is clicked on.. the hyperlink action will occur).

3. Next, click ADD LINK.

The text you highlighted will be italicized until you add actions to that word or phrase to be hyperlinked. What do you want to happen when this word or phrased is clicked on?

4. Click on ACTIONS. This will bring up the Actions dialog box. You can pick items under "Places to Go" or "Things to Do". If you want to link to another card in the same stack or another separate stack, click on the appropriate action under Places to Go. To go to a URL on the Web, click on "Go to URL" under Things to Do.

5. Copy URL from the browser window where the Web page is opened (CRTL>C to copy).

6. Paste URL in the GO TO URL dialog box. This is the URL that the user will go to when that specific phrase or word is clicked on from the card in active mode using the browse/hand tool.
When you have added the URL in this box, click OK. Then click DONE on the Actions box. To complete the process, click DONE on the HyperText Links box.

Next add buttons to connect the cards in the stack. Then you can publish the stack to the Web.
