Part 2: Constructing the Quiz

In order to create a quiz you need to insert a text object to type in the question and answer choices.

Using a Button
To add a button you need to go to Objects>Add a Button. You can select a button shape from button types 1-4. Type in the answer where you would put the button name. Be sure to check the Show Name button. Button #5 is can be used for an invisible button or a visible button with no border.
Once you have selected the button shape you can type in your answer. You can also use an button for the letter that goes in front of the button. When you add a button the Actions box will appear. Select Play a sound to add the sound to indicate if the answer is correct or incorrect.
This is how your card will look if you use buttons. The button can look just like a text box depending on the shape you choose for the button, but you will not have to add an invisible button for the sound if you use a button instead of a text object/box. The letters are buttons too, but they are only to indicate A., B., or C. You will have to line the letter (A.) up with the answer choice. Only add sound to the answer choice.
Using an Invisible button
If you do not use a button to type the answer choice in, you can place an invisible button over the text. Type in the question and answer choices. Add an invisible button over each answer choice. Add sound to each invisible button as you go. Drag the invisible button over the text. Make sure the invisible button stretches over the entire answer choice. Follow the instructions on the previous page about how to add sound.
This is how your card will look like if you type the answer choices on the text object and insert invisible buttons for the sound.

You can insert a card like this within the lesson to test knowledge as you go or you can create a separate quiz. The quiz stack can be linked by using a button on the last page of the lesson stack. This will take the student directly to the quiz. When you insert the button on the lesson card, on the Actions box select ANOTHER STACK. You can include a button on the last card of the quiz that will take the student back to the lesson or add the NBA-Quit to close out the quiz.
